Talk Strait Mastery is a 100% Indigenous owned and operated business that provides employee assistance programs with a focus on holistic health. Our team of social workers, academic researchers and industry specialists possess an extensive wealth of knowledge and experience in government organisations, community health and welfare sectors.
We aim to work in partnership with employers and their staff to ensure First Nations People receive professional and culturally responsive support in their workplace. An added wrap-around support service is provided to maintain a healthy balance in work and the home environment
Core Competencies
Employee Assistance Programs: We provide short-term early intervention services to workers and their immediate family members who are experiencing emotional and psychological challenges. We also provide strategies to balance a healthy work and home environment.
Counselling: Our team specialise in providing generalist and therapeutic counselling covering grief and loss, suicide, mental health, family & relationship, domestic & family violence, trauma informed and cultural themes.
Management Support: We specialise in providing a cultural lens on leadership to support managers to develop mutually respectful working relationship with First Nations People. Our approach is to build culturally responsive ways to respond to Fist Nations People who have disclosed mental health concerns; manage conflict within your team; support team members during and post significant traumatic events; referrals to EAP services; and work towards self-care and resilience.
Sharpening Stones: Our goal is to support First Nations People to develop soft skills to pre-employment, workplace retention and managing personal wellbeing. Soft skills include interpersonal attributes for success in the workplace; transferrable skills for future job prospects; enhance skills to working in a changing environment; and developing strategies for self-care.
